The original Modern Warfare trilogy is still my benchmark. Those campaigns had the characters, missions, and set pieces that made COD iconic.
Hard to argue with that era. The real question is whether the newer games can create the same kind of lasting memories for a new generation.
Black Ops campaigns deserve more love in these rankings. The twists and character writing made them stand out from the standard military shooter formula.
Especially when the story takes risks. A campaign doesn't have to be the most realistic one to be the most memorable.
MW4 has made me want to go back and replay the older campaigns. I want to see how it stacks up when the nostalgia wears off.
