1.0 Mission & Core Values

GameOct was created to provide gamers with an authentic, fast, and feature-rich space to discuss games, share media, explore interactive game maps (including GTA 6 and Vice City dispatches), and find cooperative gaming partners. To maintain a vibrant, positive environment, all users must abide by these Community Guidelines.

2.0 Content Standards

A. Permitted & Encouraged Content

  • Constructive discussions about gameplay, game mechanics, and lore;
  • Original gameplay screenshots, walkthrough videos, and map location discoveries;
  • Fan theories, speculation, and gaming industry news;
  • Looking-for-group (LFG) and matchmaking requests via the "Find Buddy" feature;
  • Respectful debates and critical analysis of video games.

B. Player Matchmaking, Syndicate Lobbies & Communication Safety

  • Cooperative Gaming Purpose Only: The "Find Buddy" directory, Syndicate multiplayer lobbies (Heists, Events, Free Roam), and Quick Chat features exist solely to coordinate cooperative gameplay and gaming discussions. GameOct does not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification beyond standard registration data.
  • Never Share Personal Identifying Information: For your personal safety, never share your real full name, residential address, phone number, school/workplace, or financial credentials with individuals met through matchmaking or multiplayer lobbies.
  • Parental Guidance for Minors: Parents and legal guardians of minor users (ages 13–17) are strongly advised to supervise their minor's use of public matchmaking, Syndicate lobbies, and messaging features.
  • Report Inappropriate Behavior: If another player requests personal identifying information, attempts grooming, or sends abusive messages, use the in-app "Report" tool immediately.

C. Prohibited Content

  • Harassment & Bullying: Targeted insults, stalking, personal attacks, blackmail, swatting, or encouraging others to harass an individual.
  • Hate Speech: Slurs, dehumanizing language, or incitement to hatred against protected groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation.
  • Doxxing & Privacy Invasions: Sharing private personal details (full names, home addresses, phone numbers, employer details, or private social profiles) without consent.
  • Explicit & Adult Content: Pornography, sexually suggestive depictions of real or fictional individuals, and non-consensual sexual media.
  • Violence & Gore: Real-world violence, mutilation, graphic injury, or terrorist propaganda.

3.0 Child Safety & Exploitation (Strict Zero Tolerance)

3.1 Immediate Law Enforcement Referral. GameOct strictly prohibits Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSAE), or predatory grooming behavior.

  3. Immediately reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant sovereign law enforcement authorities.
